Great jacket for changing conditions

"I bought this jacket ahead of an early spring trip to Wales and it was great through temperatures in the 30 to 40s, wild winds, spray, light rain, and conditions that changed almost minute by minute. It covered all those conditions when walking the coastal paths and the mountain paths. The hood is especially well cut for the very windy times. Fits tight when needed and easily adjustable on the go. For travel it packs very compact."

Great outer wear for ski touring

"Took this on two six day traverses in the Tyrol. Absolutely loved it. Experienced cold and windy conditions throughout and the piece was warm, cut the wind and not too warm for use while touring. Highly recommended."

My new favorite layer

"I had this amazing wool sweat from Patagonia that I purchased twenty plus years ago. It needed to be retired and the Men's wool aire hoodie is it's replacement. This new layer is phenomenal! Looking forward to this daily driver when the temps dip below 55. It's got everything but the grandpa vibe."

Outstanding

"Amazingly versatile jacket, very light weight. Keeps me warm in temps down to mid-20s F and don't overheat in temps up to 50-ish F. When it's cooler I wear some layers under and a short sleeve tee shirt when it's warmer Windproof and water resistant for a variety of weather conditions 6' 2" 175 lbs long arms. The large fits great"

It’s better than ever

"Love the upgraded zippers. Hoping the Wool Aire Vest is in the works. And not a big deal, but it would be a nice touch if you stitched the logo in on a future version."

Marsh (5/5)

Almost!

"This jacket is darn near perfect, the fit is comfortable and really like the warmth of the wool. The only issue is once the hood is on the material creates a crinkly sound that makes it extremely difficult to hear, especially while moving. If the hood was made of another quieter material like fleece I'd 100% keep this. Maybe on the next version!"

Men’s Wool Aire Hoodie

"A beautifully designed & made jacket. I’ve wanted one of these ever since they were first offered, but reviews indicated a very tight fit, & problems with the zippers. This new version has solved those problems; I’m 6ft, 154 lbs with a slim build, & a Medium fits perfectly, leaving room for some light to medium layering. I can wear an Ibex Woolies 250 base layer, then a Nomatic Outset jacket, then the Wool Aire comfortably, with a bit of room to spare. If I wanted to layer something heavy/bulky underneath, I would go with a large."

Gilbert J. (5/5)

Warm, light and breathable

"I've been wearing the Wool Aire hoody for ski touring and ice climbing recently and have really appreciated its warmth, comfort and breathability. It fits true to size and accommodates both a ski and climbing helmet well"

Arctos G. (5/5)

Great for backpacking/hiking

"Best jacket for backpacking/hiking I've seen."

Daniel S. (5/5)
