4 stars because of stretch and color

"Alright, I have been meaning to post this forever so others can make their decisions. I feel like the size is pretty true to size, however, with the wool and as you move, it will get loose and larger. Maybe size down if you’re on the edges of sizing. I’m 5’5” 155lbs but very athletic. I bought this to summit Blanca Peak in CO and got to do so. Secondly, seems silly to get bent up about color, but when I invest in gear, I like to dial in the colors with that I already have. I had ordered the “Granite” which looks like the most neutral of all of them as a light gray, BUT IT IS NOT, it is more like a light purple/blue :/ If I knew it was more of a color, I would have just went with a color vs a gray. I’ve asked others their opinion and I’m not alone. I really wish it had been the color I wanted!"

So comfortable!

"This shirt is the perfect weight to wear in hot or cold weather. I wore it for a week in the Peruvian Andes and then in the rainforest. With the humidity in the rainforest the shirt increased in size. Washed at home and a short low temp tumble in the dryer and it’s returned to its original size. I generally wear a medium, but bought a large for a loose fit for hot days."

Fabulous Shirt

"I hate to be hot when I’m hiking - especially in hot weather, but a backpacking trip in the Eastern Sierras required one versatile shirt. I also hate hoods. This, however, was one awesome shirt. I never overheated, even in 80 degree weather and I loved the hood for cool mornings and windy evenings. And then it rained…even though the shirt got wet, true to wool, it was still warm and dried out pretty quickly while hiking. I’m getting these shirts for my sun-averse husband and other backpacking family members. So much more comfortable than synthetic versions."
