Better than expected

"I was looking for pants to wear to Ireland where the weather is variable. These pants were lightweight to pack and was very comfortable when the weather was cool and then turned warm. I sensitive about fabric feel and was worried about them being too itchy - wool and all. After wearing them, I was a convert. They are not super soft to the touch, but once you put them on, they feel comfy. The zip pockets made them great for travel as well. Also I wore them several times without needing to launder them. Recommend!"

Splurge so worth it

"These are my first merino pants I have splurged on and let me tell you I have worn them constantly. To work, to dinner , movies, they are great for dressing up or down for whatever you want to wear them for. You don't sweat getting into a hot car like with synthetics and these are so comfortable. I am hoping to try other colors and turn my wardrobe into fully sustainable pieces versus any fast fashion subpar pieces that do not last like these timeless pieces do."

Super travel pants

"I have worn these in cool weather and hot weather and they were comfortable in both. The zip pockets kept my keys, cards and phone secure and worry free. I wore them nearly every day on a trip, and they still looked great, maintained their shape and resisted dirt and odor. They do tend to attract animal hair, but I used a brush or damp cloth to deal with that."

Love the pants. . . but need length options

"6' 190lbs. Typically 35" inseam. Xl fits well but short enough that I have to wear with high tops or boots. Would love to have longer inseam option."

The Perfect Travel Pant

"I bought these pants for long camping roadtrips. I just returned from a 10 day trip across the southwest and these pants were perfect. They went nicely from hiking to a restaurant for dinner. Even after many days of consecutive wear and multiple hikes, they didn't take on any odors. They were slightly even water repellant when I got caught in a spring rainstorm. My only hope is that they make them with more traditional pockets and in more colors!"

Nice alternative to leggings

"I like the fit of these pants fairly well. I wish the bottom was just a bit flare or bootleg to balance but that’s just my preference. Also, I could use another inch on the inseam. They are an alternative to leggings and more attractive than sweatpants."

Not for me

"I’m 5’7 and I think a 40 lower hip and a 37 or 38 upper hip. They just felt too big on me. I think I might’ve potentially liked a small better but they were also too short. I was actually gifted a pair of size medium Izzy tights from a friend and wow, perfection. I did notice I didn’t like the feel of the tavern pants when I was trying them on, but since the tights gifted had been washed, you could tell the fibers had relaxed a they felt wonderful on. No prickly feeling or discomfort. I’ll be wearing the Izzy’s on my first Camino de Santiago in May."
