"If I could only have one mid layer, it would be this jacket. It is good quality and appropriate for many activities and occasions. I have worn it on several multiday rail fanning trips, to an international business training, to the gym for workouts, and also some pretty nice restaurants. It is super comfortable, has zip pockets, and doesn't stretch out of shape, even after being worn for several days straight. It's plain so it can go from sporty to business casual without missing a beat. I got harvest mélange color and it's right at home with my earth toned wardrobe."

"Love this cardigan jacket in Admiral blue. The material and construction is the best in the industry. It maintains its shape with constant wearing. I can dress it up for an evening at the theater. I chose to upsize because my goal was to have a loose comfortable fit for casual or dressy look. Now that I have established my fit I intend to get another Shak in green. I also have the vest in gold and I love that piece also and have received many compliments on the fit and color. Expensive but worth the price for the quality of the product."

Fit doesn’t work for my pear-shaped body

"This medium sized jacket is stylish and I wear it with the ibex long-sleeved tee. Only problem is the fit. I am pear shaped, 5’6” and weigh 140 pounds. The shoulders fit fine, but the waist and hips are cut too skimpily. There is an opening of 4” down the front. If the jacket had a double ended zipper, I could wear it closed on top and open from the waist down. Fabric is very nice and will hold up over the years, I’m sure."

"For traveling, this is pretty much the all-purpose black hip-length warm layer I've been seeking for quite a while. It doesn't scream "athletic wear” - it has a subtle black-on-black sleeve logo & doesn’t have thumbholes. But it also seems functional, with zippered outer pockets (a couple open-topped pockets inside as well) & a front zipper that can be used for full neck coverage. About the only thing I wish was different is the sleeves. Slightly looser sleeves would make for a better fit over other layers."
