I bought these after discovering that cotton underwear is really terrible if you get wet in a kayak. These are very comfortable in all outdoor conditions.

The waist was tight when I first put them on but stretched out and fit well. The reason I selected too small is that I usually wear XS and ordered a small since there appears to be no XS.

I would not wear these with casual clothing. It's not exactly the style and the waist is higher than most casual pants. Unless you wear mom jeans.

I bought these on a lark. I wear thongs normally, so the idea of wool thongs sounded like an oxymoron that I had to experience for myself. I am sooo glad I did! These are definitely the best thongs I own! Ibex thongs are superior to Icebrakers having softer fabric and a more comfortable fit. I can wear them every day, under my cycling shorts (for rides short of 30 miles), great for long motorbike rides, and of course they are fabulous for travel. Wash, rinse, squeeze in a towel, and wear 'em again. I love the red best, but watch out because the color bleeds a bit, so don't wash them with anything light colored. The thongs have a sexy line in front and back, coming up in a beautiful high arc, which is very comfortable to wear. I worry the high ride might give me a whale tail with some pants, but I haven't put them to the test yet. I would be happy with a slightly lower riding thong if Ibex saw fit to add another style, and I would like to buy them in a beige, please. Love 'em! Love 'em!

I wear these thong panties with my exercise tights and love them dearly, but since they seem to run tighter I tend to wear my ExOfficio thongs more than I do these (really upset that ExOfficio discontinued their thongs). The higher rise works with my exercise pants perfectly, and I think that if Ibex were to introduce a lower rise pair I would hope that they do not discontinue the higher rise ones.

These could be lighter-weight however, and I would like to see Ibex try a lighter-weight thong much in the same vein as the fabric in their Balance Light Bra.

I wear them all the time; I am a matching-freak, so I hope Ibex continues to carry bras / undertops that are not full shirts and that match. I only wish that the cut were lower. I don't need so much fabric; less is more / fashions are lower cut these days in the waist, etc.I agree that they are easy to sink-wash and dry quickly (maybe not in Midwestern non-A/C humid summers, but an open window or fan goes a long way. They can be a little bit chafe-y in the crotch / inner thigh area = maybe too thick in fabric?Still, as I said, I wear them a lot, rotating 3 pair with 3 pair of wearing-out Capilene ones, which Patagonia [...]isn't making anymore — for some reason, they've given up on thongs, and that really makes me mad. I like that the Ibex do not lose their stretch and now I prefer the Ibex much better.Make it finer fabric and use less of it and I'll call _that_ perfection.Thanks.

I splurged for a bunch of these--and a few briefs for loose clothes-- this spring. I teach Physical Education, and I sweat. A lot. I was tired of stinky undies, and occasionally I'd have a bad chafing day at the office--even though my thighs don't touch when I'm standing or sitting. These solved the stink issue, and are comfortable most of the time, but I still have chafing issues. I'm also seeing visible wear after just a few months, even though I've been rotating through 10 pair. These are my favorites, but I'm still seeking perfection.

I use to avoid thongs at all costs. But the Balance thong is comfortable and helps you avoid the VPL's (Visible Pantie Lines). The Balance thong reminds me of why wool is such a fantastic fiber-it is breathable, odor resistant, quick drying and natural. I like to have natural fibers next to my skin.

I ride my Aprilia SR50 scooter long distances, up to 216 miles in a day; up to eight hours. I tend to my toileting needs with great care because that is one source of discomfort, and find that wearing a thong on long rides avoide some of that discomfort. Since the thong is so small, no matter what size you wears, having one in a pocket allows a change of underwear when stopping for gasoline and to use the rest room.

On arrival at a hotel, lightweight wool underwear like these thongs needs only a bit of soap and water, rinsing, a hang on a door knob, and is fully dry, ready to wear the next day.

Climbing a rock wall or tree, thongs allow freedom of movement. In casual wear, they are, um, playful? Especially if you are wearing slacks that fit.

I selected "Wears Out Quickly" as a con above, but I give this underwear a lot of use!

As a merino enthusiast, I was excited to see low rise briefs and thongs being offered at my local retailer. I have since gone back for 3 more pieces because of the comfort as far as breathabiity and cut is concerned. My issue is that I can't wear them as often as I'd like (i.e. to work) because they can be seen when wearing office apparel. I would love to see a natural colour pallette offered and more importantly, a flat/smooth edging on leg holes. For "seamless" underwear, the seams are awfully noticable. This could also increase comfort for long days stuck seated, whether in an office, a plane or on horseback!
