In most boxers the waistband fabric is sewn through the elastic, but in the Zephyr it is not. Feels nice, but results in a couple of cons.One mentioned in another review is that the elastic can become twisted, not a big deal to me. The other con is that without the sew-through, the elastic slides against the top edge of the waistband every time it is stretched, which is every time I put them on or take them off. Because the elastic is harder than the wool, it slowly saws through the fabric, destroying it. My waistband is in tatters. The elastic is exposed most of the way around. At the same time, the body of these boxers looks brand new. Meanwhile, I still sleep in them because they ARE comfortable, but I have resisted buying another pair because for [$] the waistband should not fall apart.On the other hand, I am wondering why no one else has reported this.

My hips get cold when I sit all day in my cold/moderate office...unless I'm wearing my Zepher Boxers. They warm me right up, and keep me warm, while the rest of me is comfortable.
In the office, I usually wear them over cotton briefs to keep them from having to be washed as often.
In the great outdoors, I wear them occasionally. I'm a little laundry-shy, so they are usually not my base layer. If I were wet and needing to warm up, I wouldn't hesitate.
These are great.

I haven't worn cotton socks in over a decade because my feet were always wet with cotton so I started wondering why I was putting up with wet cotton underwear so I decided to make the switch to wool underwear and bought a couple of pairs of the Zepher boxers. I chose the Zephers based on the reviews I read here and I really liked them so ordered eight more pairs, so I should be set for a few years. Not cheap but I wear them every day and they are very comfortable and stay dry and odor free.

elastic twist inside tubular waist - band otherwise excellent. size seems large for a medium - perhaps its my own dysmorphia. a little heavy for anything other than winter.

I have one rule... I won't wear underwear unless it's wool. I'd rather go commando than wear cotton boxers. That is why I wear Roaster Boxers every day (Completely true). For the super intense activities, I would definitely take the Balance Runner Short, but for everything else it has to be the Roasters. If you're already sold on wool, and Ibex, but not sure about the Roaster Boxers, then buy 3 pair (You will not be disappointed). To be fair, I am an Ibex employee, but on this subject I am too serious to succumb to partiality. These are the best boxers I have ever worn in terms of functionality, and the styling is top notch.

I use these for all day backcountry ski tours and they don't stink! Even on multiday and night hut trips they don't scare of your bunk mates! Fabric is soft and wicks moisture well even on those sprint to the top to get the powder first skin tracks. Only minuses: I don't like the waist height above my belly button Granny panty look and the legs ride up a bit. But I will still buy another pair or three.

I won these at a ski race raffle and at the time I was not very excited about them. However once I used them, I realized these are a must have for my nordic skiing. I asked Santa for some more because they keep me oh so toasty!
