I have chronic neck pain. This indie top allows me to keep my body and neck temp nice and warm without overheating. This top is useable inside during the winter when I have the heat turned down, also outside in the car or layered with layers in the cold winter. Because of the hood I can keep my neck nice and warm with no chilling .I find the indie very nice to wear as a base layer or a secondry base with no itch and no smell. I have 2 and I am getting one more for rotation. For me this is the best top I have,more useable than my r1 hoody and a perfect complement with it when its really cold {60-0 deg}. thanks for making it, its pain reduction for me. very important for me

This was purchase number two to keep my brother in law from stealing mine. This is a perfect three season next to skin or second layer. fits under a bike or ski helmet, and eliminates the need for the thin helmet balaklava.I wear it under a shell with a t-shirt for skiing. It washes easily in the machine and dries overnight hanging on the back of a chair. I can wear this for days and never end up with the polypro smell that my wife describes as cat urine. I love this jacket.

I spend a lot of time outdoors and this has become my favorite baselayer. I will be looking to get another one in the fall. The synthetics are getting phased out and replaced with wool.You can't beat it for temperature range versatility and less stinky factor.

I got the previous year's hooded indie in brown and I really love it. The thumbholes function perfectly and show no signs of wearing out. I wear this constantly for two weeks or so and I wash it. I actually machine wash this baby warm and tumble dry HOT and it has not shrank a bit, so take a deep breath and toss it in the dryer.

I'm 6'1" 165lbs (read lanky/longish torso and arms) and the Large fits perfectly. I don't know what else to say, great hood, good zipper, good feel and look. I would buy this at full price and then buy another as a backup.

I am disappointed there are only 2 colors to choose from now, so maybe I will get the grayish one as a backup.

Wicks in any weather. Warms or cools depending on layers and activities. Will buy more before they disappear. Just wish they weren't so expensive. Would also like one in much denser, heavier wool fabric (but not much more expensive).

The weight of this for layering is perfect and the hood is an added bonus. I also have the shak hoody as well and couldn't be happier with both. I have bought some Icebreaker stuff and been very disappointed with shrinkage and durability. Last fall I was telling a friend how disappointed I was with my Icebreaker stuff and he showed me some of his Ibex and suggested I try them as he was pleased with his. Glad I did!

This hoodie is a great base layer on those windy, single digit days on Mt Mansfield. Warm & breathable. The thumb holes keep the wrist warm & the hoodie keeps the neck the head warm both skiing & winter biking to work..

I love hoodies and to have a lightweight wool layer with a hoodie is a dream come true. I spend everyday outdoors and I have used this daily from the day I received it. Everything from Mountain biking to hiking. The best use will be backcountry skiing to the huts and teaching avalanche classes this winter.

The fit is looser which is perfect. I could wear another layer underneath if I wanted or needed.

Thanks IBEX for adding a hood, you guys have created another great product!
