I can bike to school in these pants, arrive in style, and feel cool and comfortable for the whole ride. The shade is similar to the preppy "Nantucket Red" but features a slightly different, more faded wash, and fits into my earth-tone/hand-dyed wardrobe.

I was looking to replace a favorite pair of long linen shorts. The length and style of these are nice. Not too long. The fabric is pretty heavy and sturdy a little stiff right out of the box. I think these will last forever but need a bunch of washes to be really comfortable. They seem to run a little small, as stated by others and the style is a nod to fashion vs utility. I like them

I didn't realize how much these shorts bend over backwards to be "women's" shorts -- beyond fit. There's the 5" slit in the back of each leg, cute embroidery, and lack of back pockets. Clearly there's a demand for such stuff, but not all women prefer "cute" to straightforward. They're more expensive, but I'm back to buying from the men's Ibex selection, which unfortunately lacks such lively colors as this great "red clay" option here.

I love this heavy cotton. It holds its shape well, with classic lines, and is extremely durable. I got a pencil tip caught in the pants in my very first wear and it poked a very round hole but the surrounding fabric is fine, no snags or runs. If only my tent were this durable! Love the Red Clay and Kelp colors, though I find the Rope a little plain (but goes with everything!).

I was very disappointed with this item. I purchased a Slide skirt in the same size. Where the skirt runs a touch large, the cropped pants fit a size or two too small, particularly at the waist. The cut seems like measurements for the true waist (at belly button) were used for the waistband on what is otherwise a lower rise (at hipbone) pair of pants. The result is just not flattering. I should have returned these, but tossed them in my closet instead. What was I thinking?
